Dear Tony and Beth,
We are truly blessed by the both of you and your beautiful home. Your outstanding attention to detail and wonderful culinary skills make our 27th anniversary most special and memorable. The quiet retreat of 1810 Emerson House gave us respite from our busy lives. God has blessed you both with the gift of hospitality. Thank you for using your gifts to bless others!
Wisconsin’s Gateway Bed and Breakfast
Located in an elegant residential neighborhood just east of Beloit College, guests will delight in staying at the historic 1810 Emerson House Bed and Breakfast. This lovely example of Georgian Colonial Revival architecture was built in 1930 as a wedding gift for Theodore and Rosella Woolsey. The house’s distinctive roughhewn cedar shake roof and cream-colored brick with dramatic “weeping mortar” is a neighborhood standout.
Beloit truly is the Gateway to Wisconsin, being located at I-90 and the Wisconsin – Illinois border. Both Milwaukee and Madison airports are only 1 hour away, and only 1 ½ hours from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. Emerson House is also a short distance to Beloit College, cultural art centers and quaint downtown shops and restaurants.
